The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations rescued 26 fishermen from the ice in the Yaroslavl region. This was announced on March 19 in the department.

"Near the village of Svingino, the men were swept 25 m from the shore," the Russian Emergencies Ministry's Telegram channel reported.

Rescuers on two hovercraft went to the scene.

As a result, 26 fishermen were rescued from the ice. 17 employees of the department and 7 pieces of equipment took part in the rescue operation.

The fact that about 20 fishermen ended up on an ice floe that split in the Yaroslavl region became known earlier that day. The people were located 25 m from the shore on the Volga River in the village of Svingino.
