In the south of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, police used their service weapons to detain an intoxicated driver. This was announced on March 19 by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

It is specified that during the patrol of the streets of the village of Idrinsk, the Nissan car did not respond to the demands to stop the traffic police crew, significantly increasing its speed. After a verbal warning, the traffic police inspector fired five shots into the air, followed by four shots at the wheels of the violator's car. After that, the car and the 21-year-old driver were detained.

The check showed that a local resident, who was deprived of his driver's license in 2024 for refusing a medical examination, had previously tried to hide from traffic police officers, which also required the use of service weapons to detain him.

"Upon the fact of drunk driving, investigators of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Krasnoturansky opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Violation of traffic rules by a person subjected to administrative punishment." The attacker faces up to two years in prison," the press service said on the department's Telegram channel.

In Krasnodar, on March 17, police officers tried to stop a Mazda 3 car on Pashkovskaya Street, but the driver continued driving and tried to escape. During the pursuit, the violator collided with a foreign car, continued driving and crashed into a fence when turning from Yaltinskaya Street to Uralskaya. There he was detained by traffic police officers.
