French President Emmanuel Macron said at a joint press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Tuesday, March 18, that only "comprehensive peaceful solutions" can lead to lasting peace in Ukraine.

"It is detailed and comprehensive peaceful solutions that will make it possible to achieve lasting and lasting peace and the guarantees that accompany it. This remains our goal," Macron said. The press conference was broadcast by the Elysee Palace on the social network X.

He stressed that negotiations are "unthinkable" without Ukrainians at the table.
