Shishkarev announced the readiness of Delo Group to build transport infrastructure abroad

Delo Group of Companies is ready to participate in the construction of Russian logistics infrastructure abroad, but we need clear rules of the game in such projects, said Sergey Shishkarev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the holding.

"Without the support of the state, without guaranteeing the rights of investors in the current difficult political and economic conditions, it will be very difficult to achieve the implementation of our investment plans and consolidate our business abroad," he stressed, speaking at the annual congress of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs in Moscow.

As the businessman pointed out, Russian cargoes are currently facing difficulties in processing at some foreign ports. Creating a network of our own hubs in friendly countries of Southeast Asia, North and West Africa and other regions of the world could solve this problem. In this regard, the founder of Delo Group called on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Economic Development to conclude intergovernmental agreements where such logistics joint projects would receive "clear parameters" and guarantees of investments by domestic businesses.

"We are ready to provide absolutely reasonable proposals and cost—effective investment plans with a clear return on investment," he added.

Another problem of Russian transport sovereignty, according to Shishkarev, is the chronic shortage of its own merchant fleet. There is no capacity to produce the required number of bulk carriers, tankers, and container ships in the country today, stated Sergey Shishkarev, calling for the revival of the program of preferential lending to merchant vessels (such a mechanism was provided earlier, but subsequently stopped working).

At the same time, the founder of Delo Group of Companies did not rule out that the acquired fleet would be not only with the Russian flag, but also with flags of "convenient" jurisdictions.
