Russian Minister of Agriculture Oksana Lut discussed the agrarian development of the Stavropol Territory with the head of the region, Vladimir Vladimirovich. This was announced on March 18 by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

"The parties discussed the main indicators of the agro-industrial complex (agro-industrial complex. — Ed.) of the region, as well as issues of support for Stavropol State Agrarian University," the department said in a press release.

It is noted that agriculture in Stavropol is actively developing — the region is among the leaders in the production of a number of categories of agricultural products. Stavropol State Agrarian University, one of the flagships of agricultural education in Russia, is also located there.

Earlier on March 17, the ministry announced that in many regions of the country, the preparation of seeds for the sowing campaign has almost been completed. In particular, it is noted that in the Rostov and Omsk regions, the Krasnodar Territory, Kabardino-Balkaria, Chechnya and Udmurtia, the level of seed supply for individual crops is already more than 90%.
