The Russian Ministry of Transport has included in the draft rules for tourist trains the right to make two ticket errors. The relevant document was published on the website of the Federal Portal of Projects and Regulatory Legal Acts on March 18.

There were no separate rules for tourist trains, but several errors in tickets for long-distance trains had already been resolved. The innovation will enter into force on September 1, 2025. According to the document, the passenger will be allowed to travel if there is an error in the surname, first name, patronymic, series and number of the identity document, as well as rearrangement of adjacent numbers and letters, superfluous or missing characters.

"At the same time, no more than one error is allowed in the passenger's surname, first name, or patronymic, and no more than one error in the series or number of the passenger's identity document indicated in the travel document (ticket)," the draft says.

The current rules for long-distance trains already contain similar assumptions.
