Kovalchuk spoke about the launch of a large-scale digitalization of the Accounting Chamber in 2024.

In 2024, the Accounting Chamber of Russia launched the process of large-scale digitalization of the department. This was announced on March 17 by the chairman of the Joint Venture Boris Kovalchuk at an expanded meeting of the Control Committee.

He clarified that last year, among other things, projects were launched to create a unified digital platform and data-centricity. In addition, audit approaches based on high-quality and complete data are being developed, analytical tools and methods, including artificial intelligence, are being used.

"We are constantly adjusting the audit methodology. We assign an important place to conducting research using advanced data analytics, training inspectors in appropriate tools <...> Our approaches and competencies allow us to make forecasts and verify their validity, identify bottlenecks that require adjustments for more economical and efficient spending of federal budget funds," Kovalchuk said.

He also drew attention to the fact that in 2025, the joint venture continues to improve the continuous training of employees in accordance with the priorities of the department.

Important results of the implementation of the joint venture strategy until 2024, Kovalchuk continued, were the emergence and implementation of such a tool as the recommendations of the Accounting Chamber, as well as the approval of methodological documents aimed at conducting a systematic analysis of the activities of government agencies to manage corruption risks.

In addition, in December 2024, a new document was approved on assistance in fulfilling the tasks of socio-economic development set by the president until 2030, he concluded.

Earlier, on March 14, Kovalchuk said that the deficit of regional budgets in Russia as of the beginning of 2025 had decreased sixfold compared to the previous year. According to him, last year the growth of regional incomes was more than 10%, and the growth of expenses was about 10.3%.
