The weather forecaster announced the return of positive temperatures to Moscow on March 18.

From Tuesday, March 18, positive temperatures will return to Moscow and the region. Tatiana Pozdnyakova, a leading specialist at the Meteonosti news agency, told Izvestia about this on March 17.

In the next two days, according to her, precipitation in the form of snow should be expected in the Moscow region. The night of Tuesday, March 18, will be cold — the minimum temperature in the capital will be -4...-6 degrees, in the region — up to -9.

"As for the daytime temperature, it will still be positive. If today it will be around 0, then on Tuesday the air will warm up to +2...+3 degrees, but there will still be a fairly dense north wind," Pozdnyakova said.

No significant precipitation is expected on Wednesday afternoon. Starting from this day, the temperature will rise, the expert emphasized. In the afternoon, it will be +3...+5 degrees, in the region — +1 ...+6 degrees. It will be sunny and partly cloudy on Thursday and Friday. The expert noted that the weather will be determined by the periphery of the anticyclone, there will be no significant precipitation. The minimum night temperature in Moscow is -2...+3 degrees, daytime temperature will be in the range of +4...+9 degrees.

"That is, the temperature will first return to the climatic norm, and then it will be slightly above it. <...> For the 20th, which is the beginning of astronomical spring, the average daily air temperature should be around 0.4 degrees for Moscow. It will be clearly higher. This indicates that the positive air temperature anomaly will return to the capital region," Pozdnyakova said.

The weather forecaster stressed that all the snow that falls in a few nights will melt by the end of the week.

Earlier that day, the Hydrometeorological Center published a weather forecast for the capital region for a week. It follows that on Monday, March 17, the maximum temperature will be from -2 to 0 degrees, at night on March 18 — -8...-6 degrees. Precipitation will continue until Wednesday.
