At least 36 people have died as a result of the storms that are taking place in the South and Midwest of the United States. This was announced on March 16 by the American leader Donald Trump.

"We are actively monitoring severe tornadoes and storms that have affected many states in the South and Midwest — 36 innocent lives have been lost," Trump said in a message on the Truth Social network.

The American leader clarified that specialists from the National Guard are currently working in Arkansas. He added that the White House administration is ready to help local officials in dealing with the effects of the storm.

In the footage, you can see how devastating the consequences of the passing storm are - buses are overturned, trees are broken, some of which are uprooted, and many houses are destroyed.

On the same day, it was reported that at least 30 people died in the eastern United States as a result of a powerful storm. In addition, powerful, extended tornadoes with destructive winds of up to 128 km/h are expected in the Midwest and South.
