Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on March 16 that Washington cannot impose its foreign policy on Tehran.

"This era ended in 1979. Last year, [Joe] Biden was tricked into handing over an unprecedented $23 billion to the genocidal regime. More than 60,000 Palestinians have been killed, and the world holds the United States fully responsible," Araghchi wrote on his Facebook page. Twitter).

The politician also called on the United States to stop supporting Israel and killing Yemenis.

Earlier, on March 12, Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei called the US statements about its readiness to negotiate with Tehran a deception of world public opinion. He noted that, despite the promises of the American president, negotiations with the United States will not lead to the lifting of sanctions, but will only increase pressure on Iran.
