Zelensky demanded that Europe speed up the production of ammunition

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky called on Europe to quickly militarize its armies, accelerate the production of ammunition, and strengthen air defense for its own security.
As the Ukrainian leader noted, the European Union (EU) countries need their own military arsenals and capabilities to produce the most modern weapons.
"The production of ammunition should not take from three to five years, if we are talking about your defense and security. I also ask you not to forget about strengthening air defense — both in Ukraine and, in the future, in your countries," he wrote on March 15 on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
On the same day, former German Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel said that Zelensky could not resolve the issue of ending the conflict without the European Union (EU). The politician noted that "when the hour of diplomacy comes, Zelensky alone should not decide, but Ukraine together with its supporters."
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has posted on social media a list of 12 demands to the EU, which includes Ukraine's non-admission to the community. In addition, he called for the creation of a "Europe of Nations" and respect for equality before the law for all member states of the association.
