Alexander Shuvalov, head of the Meteo forecasting center, said that the upcoming cold snap in Moscow will last a week.

In an interview with Radio 1 on Friday, March 14, the specialist noted that ice is also expected on the roads.

According to him, snow will fall in the early hours of the weekend, as well as on Monday and Tuesday, and it may stay for a couple of days. He stressed that this is normal March weather.

"We are dropping from extremely positive values to normal, and next weekend it will be +10, +12 degrees again," the forecaster explained.

He recalled that spring is a time of the strongest winds and contrasting temperatures.

Earlier on March 14, it was reported that Friday was the warmest day in the capital since the beginning of the year. By 10:00, the air had warmed up to +12.5 degrees. This is 0.2 degrees higher than recorded by the previous leader on March 11, according to the Moscow City News Agency.

On the same day, Mikhail Leus, a leading specialist at the Phobos weather center, clarified that the final data on the new temperature record would be known after 21:00, the website writes kp.ru .

Also on March 14, the head of the Meteo forecasting center, Alexander Shuvalov, in an interview with NSN, said that after the storm, night frosts and snow would return to the capital. Meanwhile, by March 20, the city will warm up again.
