The minimum Russian language test score for migrant children has been approved

Rosobrnadzor has approved the minimum number of points for successful Russian language testing by migrant children. This was announced on March 14 on the agency's website.
Russian Russian proficiency testing is carried out by foreign citizens and stateless persons with a minimum score of three points, which confirms compliance with the requirements for the level of knowledge of the Russian language," the statement said.
It is specified that testing will begin on April 1, 2025 and will be held for students entering schools from grades 1 to 11.
Speaking, listening, and understanding skills will be tested in the 1st grade, and reading and writing tasks will be added starting in the 2nd grade.
Demonstration versions of the work will be available on the website of the Federal Institute of Pedagogical Measurements until the end of March.
Earlier, on January 12, Olga Vasilyeva, President of the Russian Academy of Education (RAO), said that the law on testing migrant children's knowledge of the Russian language before admission to schools would help improve the quality of the entire Russian education system. She noted that for comfortable joint education of migrant and Russian children, their mutual understanding and, more importantly, the teacher's understanding are important.
