The MEP stated that there are no initiatives on the Ukrainian conflict in the EP.

The European Parliament (EP) does not consider resolutions calling for negotiations on the Ukrainian conflict. This was stated to Izvestia on March 14 by Bulgarian MEP Petar Volgin.
"I would really like to see such a resolution as soon as possible. However, knowing the leaders of the European Parliament, as well as the sentiments in the largest factions of the European Parliament, the preparation of such a document seems unlikely to me," he explained.
Volgin added that, unlike in the United States, where the voice of reason is increasingly being heard, anti-Russian cliches continue to dominate in European institutions.
"On the one hand, they say that European security is impossible without the decisive help of the United States, and on the other, they just as convincingly insist that the United States is acting as a puppet of Russia," the politician noted.
Yesterday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov expressed complete lack of interest in the opinion of the European Union (EU) countries on the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine.
On the same day, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said during a briefing that Europe's plans to send peacekeepers to Ukraine could lead to an escalation of the situation, and Russia has repeatedly pointed this out. Zakharova added that the United States understands how such a deployment could threaten from a military point of view.
