The wind tore out a piece of the roof at the building of a business center in the north of Moscow, and covered several cars parked nearby. This was reported to the emergency services of the city on Friday, March 14.

The incident occurred on Kronshtadsky Boulevard. According to an eyewitness of the incident, the number of cars under the roof fragment may be more than seven.

"The roof fell on the cars, it's already old, it hasn't been restored for a long time. It's all because of the wind. A piece of roof escaped from the building, covering five or six cars. The roof is heavy, it is impossible to lift it with three or four people. The staff arrived — both the ambulance and the rescue service, the wires were broken," the man said in an interview with 360.ru .

Earlier in the day, the Moscow city management complex reported that due to strong winds in the capital, gusts of which reach 22 m/s, cases of falling trees are recorded.

"City services are on high alert. Fallen trees are promptly sawn and removed," the Moscow City News agency quoted the message as saying.

Adverse weather conditions will persist in the coming hours, and citizens are urged to be careful outside, according to the website. kp.ru .

In turn, Alexander Shuvalov, head of the Meteo forecasting center, said that in Moscow at about 15:00 the wind will reach its peak and end by 22:00. Wind strength is likely to be limited to 20 m/s. But individual gusts of 22 m/s cannot be completely excluded.
