U.S. Vice President Jay Dee Vance was booed by the audience on March 13 before a concert by the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center in Washington.

The incident occurred when Vance and his wife took their seats in the box. There were whistles and booms in the hall, to which the vice president responded with a smile and waved his hand.

"The vice President and his wife were booed as they took their seats at a concert by the National Symphony Orchestra featuring music by Shostakovich and Stravinsky," The New York Times said.

Being clarified. that the start of the event was delayed by 25 minutes, and all the spectators were carefully checked by Secret Service personnel to ensure security.

Earlier, on March 8, Vance reported that pro-Ukrainian activists began to harass him while walking with his daughter and scared her by shouting slogans in support of Kiev. According to him, because of the persecution, he was forced to stop and urge the crowd not to interfere with his walk with his daughter.
