The White House appealed to the US Supreme Court with a request to terminate the federal court's decision, according to which the decree on the abolition of birthright citizenship in the United States was blocked. This was reported on March 13 by CNN.

"On Thursday, the administration of President Donald Trump appealed to the Supreme Court in a series of extraordinary appeals to allow him to continue implementing plans to revoke birthright citizenship," the publication says.

According to the publication, as a measure of support, the administration stated that the court should at least allow it to issue guidelines explaining how it would implement this policy. The TV channel believes that if the Supreme Court agrees, it will allow the administration to apply its decree against people who are not covered by the current court proceedings.

On January 28, White House press Secretary Carolyn Levitt said that Trump was ready to go to the Supreme Court in deciding on the illegality of American citizenship by right of birth, because he believed that granting birthright citizenship was unconstitutional.
