The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed an attack on the Syrian capital, Damascus, on March 13. The target of the strike was the command center of the Palestinian militant Islamist organization Islamic Jihad (a terrorist organization banned in Russia).

"Some time ago, the Israeli Air Force conducted an intelligence strike on the command center of the Palestinian terrorist organization Islamic Jihad in Damascus," the Telegram channel said in a statement.

According to the IDF, the command center was used to plan and direct the organization's terrorist activities against the State of Israel.

The day before, the Syrian TV channel Syria TV, citing local sources, reported that IDF planes had attacked military installations in the province of Deraa in southern Syria. It was clarified that the Israeli bombing was directed against the Syrian units located in the settlements of Jababa and Israa.
