A girl was detained in the Kherson region on suspicion of espionage. This was reported on March 13 by the FSB of Russia in the region.

"The Federal Security Service of Russia in the Kherson region has suppressed the illegal activities of a Ukrainian citizen born in 2003, a resident of the Kherson region, who was involved in transmitting information to the special services of Ukraine," TASS quoted the agency as saying.

It is specified that the suspect collected and transmitted to the special services of Ukraine data on the locations of the Russian army, as well as the location of mobile operator stations in the Kherson region.

A criminal case has been opened against her on the grounds of a crime under Article 276 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Espionage"). It is specified that the punishment may be in the form of imprisonment for up to 20 years.

All of them were engaged in intelligence and subversive activities on the territory of Russia.

On February 25, the Russian FSB Directorate for the Kherson region stopped the criminal activities of a 51-year-old Ukrainian citizen involved in espionage in the region.
