The administration of American ex-President Joe Biden falsified its reports on the detention of illegal migrants. This was reported on March 12 by The Washington Times, citing Todd Lyons, Acting director of the US Immigration Service.

"We found tens of thousands of cases that were registered as arrests, although in fact they were about illegal immigrants who were simply processed and released," the newspaper quoted Lyons as saying.

In addition, according to the director, Biden's team recorded arrests, while not taking measures to ensure compliance with migrant control rules.

The official also noted that for the whole of 2024, more than two thirds of all such arrests were made in order to fulfill the plan, while being a "theater of law enforcement." He added that the detainees were immediately released.

On the same day, the Reuters news agency reported that immigration detention centers in the United States are filled to capacity and contain 47.6 thousand detainees. The publication says that at the moment, the administration of the American leader Donald Trump is looking for the possibility of creating more beds.

On February 22, the American leader announced a solution to the problem of illegal migration in the country. He also said that he had provided the United States with the best borders ever. According to him, the administration of the state conducted the largest operation to deport illegal immigrants in the entire existence of the United States.
