In today's world, it's hard to find a soulmate because of the mismatch of goals and values. Anastasia Lysakova, Candidate of Psychological Sciences, said this on Monday, March 10, commenting on the VTsIOM survey data that 7 out of 10 Russians are afraid of loneliness.

"People who are focused on starting a family are one category, the other is absolutely not focused. And when they meet, there is a discrepancy, frustration (disappointment up to depression) is inevitable," the expert explained in an interview with Radio 1.

According to Lysakova, social values have changed a lot over the past 20 years, which leads to a violation of previous traditions related to family building.

"Previously, at the age of 20-25, it was considered absolutely normal if you were already married or if you had children. But now everything has changed: everyone is building a career, everyone is emancipated, and because of this, of course, there are difficulties," the psychologist noted.

She added that the difficulties with a love partnership are also related to the fear of making mistakes and experiencing pain again.

"A woman meets a man, and he says he's serious about everything, but in fact his goal is a fleeting relationship. After several such cases, a woman may become disillusioned with the relationship in principle. Sometimes, even after one unfortunate incident, a stereotype develops that everyone is a liar, a liar, and you can't trust anyone. And it's the same for men," the psychologist concluded.

On March 5, psychologist Daria Dugentsova said that social connections, public spaces and interest groups help to cope with loneliness. 360.ru .

Earlier, on February 27, Anna Lodz, a psychoanalyst and lecturer at the Moscow Institute of Psychology, said that the return of former partners is a common phenomenon with various reasons. The specialist noted that the desire to fill an inner void can be a real, sometimes unconscious reason to resume past relationships.

Earlier, scientists came to the conclusion, after conducting a family survey, that liberal views make girls unhappy and lonely. It turned out that only 12% of liberal women feel satisfied with their lives, when 37% of women with conservative views turned out to be happy, NSN reports.
