A diesel locomotive derailed in the Kemerovo region
A diesel locomotive derailed in the Kemerovo region at the Belyaevo station. This was announced on Monday, March 10, by the West Siberian Transport Prosecutor's Office.
"Today, at about 10:00 (local time, 06:00 Moscow time), during shunting operations at the Belovo station of the West Siberian Railway in the Kemerovo region - Kuzbass, a diesel locomotive derailed without tipping over," follows from the publication of the department in Telegram.
They added that the causes and circumstances of the incident are being established. At the moment, restoration work is being carried out on site, while no changes have been made to the train timetable.
A check has been organized on this fact, the prosecutor's office clarified.
Earlier, on February 16, it was reported that in the Moscow region, on the Belye Stolby – Barybino stretch, an electric train's wheelset derailed. It was clarified that there were no casualties as a result of the incident. The passengers were transferred to another electric train, which followed an identical route.
