- The Mayor of Moscow announced plans to expand historical and patriotic navigation in the city.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced plans to expand historical and patriotic navigation in the Russian capital with the introduction of another 240 new signs for Victory Day this year. This was announced on Monday, March 10, on the mayor's website.
"There are more than 4,000 such signs in Moscow today. But the installation work has not been completed yet. This year, by Victory Day, 240 new city signs will indicate the shortest route to 30 sites," Sobyanin said.
It is specified that by pointing the phone's camera at the QR code, it will be possible to find out the biography of the hero or a memorable place.
For example, signs dedicated to the exploits of scout Gevorg Vartanyan will be installed in a communal apartment on Scandinavian Boulevard and Edvard Grieg Street.
Also, according to Sobyanin, navigation to monuments to sailors, tank crews, front dogs and other memorial sites will be installed on Poklonnaya Gora.
The Mayor of Moscow stressed that the aim of the initiative is to preserve the memory of the heroes of that time and pass it on to future generations.
Earlier, on February 23, in Pavilion No. 58 at VDNH, a special project "Museum of the SVO" was opened, dedicated to the heroism of participants in a special military operation. He introduces the victorious traditions of our country and the exploits of Russian soldiers — paratroopers, gunners, attack aircraft, pilots, soldiers of Special Operations Forces, engineers and other branches of the armed forces.
