The media reported the deaths of over 230 security forces during clashes in Syria.


At least 231 employees of the Ministry of Defense and security agencies of the interim Government of the republic were killed during clashes in western Syria. This was reported on March 9 by Al Jazeera TV channel.

On March 7, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova expressed concern about the sharp escalation of the situation in Syria. She noted that information is being received about large-scale clashes between the republic's security forces and armed groups that call themselves the local resistance.
