Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov commented on the altercation between Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and American leader Donald Trump at the White House, noting that he could not believe "neither his eyes nor his ears."

According to him, there have never been such situations from the point of view of diplomacy.

"Of course, being professionally from diplomacy, I could not believe either my eyes or my ears," he said, the video was posted on March 9 on the Telegram channel of journalist Pavel Zarubin.

During the meeting between Trump and Zelensky in the Oval Office on February 28, a verbal altercation took place. The US president accused the Ukrainian leader of disrespecting Washington. According to him, the head of the Kiev regime is "playing with World War III" and is not ready to resolve the conflict.

Zelensky phoned British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on March 4 before posting on the social network X (ex. Twitter) a statement of regret about the conflict with the American leader. During the telephone conversation, the British prime minister told the Ukrainian president about his call to Trump and stated that the work of all parties on a lasting and long-term settlement of the crisis in Ukraine is absolutely necessary.
