US President Donald Trump has supported a bill to continue financing the work of the country's federal government, which was proposed in Congress by members of the Republican Party. On March 8, the American leader announced this on his Truth Social network.

"The House of Representatives and the Senate have agreed on a very good bill. All Republicans should vote for it next week, please," he said.

According to Trump, representatives of the Democratic Party this time will try to do "everything in their power" not to agree on the project and achieve the suspension of government funding.

On March 7, Trump called on a congressman who tried to disrupt his speech to take an IQ test. Earlier, Senator Al Green was escorted out of the hall after he tried several times to interrupt the president's address to Congress. The congressman shouted and raised his cane during Trump's speech, after which, by order of Speaker of the House of Representatives Mike Johnson, he was escorted out by security.
