In the Murmansk region, two people were killed in an accident on the R-21 Kola highway. This was announced on Saturday, March 8, by the main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the region.

"Today at 19:50 on the R-21 Kola highway, 3 km 300 m from the airport entrance, two Renault Logan and Mitsubishi Lancer cars collided," the agency wrote on Telegram.

Traffic police and police officers are working at the scene of the incident. All the circumstances of the incident are being established.

The regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs added that the site was temporarily closed.

The day before, on March 7, it was reported that in the Olenegorsky district of the Murmansk region, as a result of a collision between a Gazelle and a regular bus, one person was killed and one injured. The accident occurred around 10 a.m. on the 28th km of the Olenegorsk –Lovozero highway. The driver of the Gazelle drove into oncoming traffic and crashed into a MAZ bus traveling along the route Olenegorsk 2 – Olenegorsk 8.
