In London, a man with a Palestinian flag climbed Big Ben

British emergency services cordoned off the area around London's Big Ben after a man with a Palestinian flag climbed onto the building. This was reported on March 8 by The Guardian newspaper.
A video on social media shows a barefoot man standing on a ledge of Big Ben at a height of several meters. He holds the flag of Palestine in his hands.
Bridge Street, which runs next to the scene of the incident, was closed. At least nine emergency vehicles were lined up there.
"At 7.24 a.m. (10:24 a.m. Moscow time. On Saturday, March 8, police were alerted to a man who was climbing Elizabeth Tower (the official name of Big Ben. — Ed.) at the parliament building," The Guardian quoted a police spokesman as saying.
According to the policeman, emergency services are at the scene.
On February 26, a rally in support of Palestine was held at Potsdamer Platz in Berlin. Several dozen people came out to demonstrate with flags of the Palestinian state and banners with the words "Stop the aggression against the West Bank of the Jordan River" and "Freedom for Palestine." They were accompanied by Arabic music.
