Ukraine received £752 million from the UK from the proceeds from Russia's frozen assets. This was announced on March 7 by Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal in the Telegram channel.

"Ukraine has received the first funds from the UK, secured by income from frozen Russian assets. Today we have received £752 million as part of the G7 ERA initiative," he wrote.

According to him, the funds were received as part of the G7 Extraordinary Revenue Acceleration (ERA), an emergency loan program provided by the leaders of the Group of Seven to Ukraine in the amount of $50 billion. According to the scheme, loans are serviced by profits from frozen Russian sovereign assets.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said on March 3 that Britain, together with France and other allies, had agreed on a new loan to Ukraine using profits from frozen Russian assets. According to him, the issue of using the latter is "very complex and ambiguous."

On the same day, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that attempts to seize Russia's frozen assets for transfer to Ukraine would have serious legal consequences. He noted that there have been more and more such ideas in the West lately.
