Sales of electronic CTP policies have increased significantly

The share of e-CTP accounts for 70% of all compulsory motor insurance policies sold during this period, said RSA President Evgeny Ufimtsev.
The top 10 regions for sales of e-CTP policies, which included Moscow, the Moscow Region, the Krasnodar Territory and St. Petersburg account for 41.5% of all policies sold.
About 20% of car owners in new regions of the Russian Federation bought a CTP policy online in January-February 2025. Since January 1, 2025, CTP legislation has been in force in the territories of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics (DPR, LPR), Zaporizhia and Kherson regions.
"The growth in sales of electronic CTP policies is mainly related to the convenience and simplicity of buying such a policy," Ufimtsev said.
He recalled that from January 1, 2025, the electronic settlement of CTP losses began to operate in full in Russia. From now on, policyholders can apply for compensation to the insurance company remotely using the insurance company's website or mobile application.
On February 26, the RSA announced postponement of the start of the experiment to launch the CTP check through traffic cameras on June 30, 2025 from March 1st. During the approval of the project, questions arose that required additional coordination and time for the experiment to work correctly.
