Trump declared the grief brought to Russia by sanctions and assistance to Ukraine
The President USA Donald Trump said that he had brought Russia only grief with the sanctions against it and the military assistance that the United States provided Ukraine. He announced this on March 3 during a conversation with reporters at the White House, which was broadcast by Fox News on its YouTube channel.
Trump also expressed indignation at being accused of being intimate with Moscow, although he provided support to Kiev.
"I have given Russia nothing but grief. I gave them sanctions and [Javelin anti—tank missile systems] for Ukraine," Trump said.
The Reuters news agency reported on March 2 that the White House is studying plans for a possible href="https://iz.ru/1848329/2025-03-03/reuters-soobsilo-o-vozmoznyh-planah-ssa-oslabit-antirossiiskie-sankcii " target="_blank">lifting of anti-Russian sanctions. It was noted that a weakening of restrictions is also likely.
