Ireland plans to "untie its hands" on the issue of sending peacekeepers to Ukraine. On March 3, Russian Ambassador to the Republic Yuri Filatov commented on the latest legislative initiative of the Cabinet of Ministers to submit to Parliament a bill that would allow sending Irish peacekeepers abroad without the approval of the UN Security Council.

"They want to free their hands to participate in other missions not approved by the UN," he said TASS.

The ambassador admitted that such a line "fits into the current position of the Irish government regarding the conflict in Ukraine."

He also noted that if Simon Harris, the country's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Defense, is hindered by the UN Charter, then it is necessary to "speak directly and clearly about this, and not to dissemble, fidget, invent completely unreasonable things."

"There is one conclusion from this: no one here is seriously thinking about a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine, no one is interested in this, unlike the continuation of the conflict and military operations. All practical policies, including this proposal, are aimed at this," the Ambassador concluded.

Irish journalist Chay Bose on March 2 called the visit of the president Of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky to London. According to him, the crowd that greeted Zelensky was paid to show delight at the arrival of the head of the Kiev regime, who was recently "ignominiously kicked out of the White House."

March 1st at Downing Street Zelensky and Starmer met, during which the British prime minister promised Kiev all the necessary support. The British Prime Minister stressed that the country intends to achieve peace for Ukraine based on "sovereignty and security."
