The State Duma revealed details on the indexation of social pensions from April 1

The indexation of the social pension by 14.75% from April 1 of this year will affect veterans of the Great Patriotic War, residents of besieged Leningrad and besieged cities, as well as Russians affected by radiation and man-made disasters. Nikita Chaplin, a member of the State Duma Committee on Budget and Taxes, announced this on March 3.

He stressed that this measure will affect about 3.5 million recipients of payments, as well as about 700 thousand citizens receiving pension benefits.

"The indexation of social pensions is an important step in ensuring social justice and caring for our citizens," the MP said in an interview with TASS.
