"Anora," starring Borisov and Eidelstein, won the Oscar for Best Film

American director Sean Baker's film "Anora" (Anora, 2024), which was produced by Russian actors Yura Borisov and Mark Edelstein, won the Academy Award for Best Film. The award ceremony was broadcast on the night of March 3 by ABC News.

In addition, the painting "Anora" became almost a triumph at the 97th Academy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles, as it won statuettes in five of the six nominations in which it was presented. So, in the Best Actress category, Mikey Madison, who played the main role in the film, became the winner. "Anora" also won in the nominations "Best Original Screenplay", "Best Editing" and "Best Director".

Actor from "Anora" Yura Borisov, who claimed the award in the category "Best Supporting Actor" lost the prize to Kieran Culkin from "Real Pain" by Jesse Eisenberg.
