- Israel halts humanitarian aid shipments to Gaza after Hamas refuses to accept U.S. plan

Defense Army Israel (IDF) has suspended humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip after the refusal of the Palestinian Hamas movement to accept the plan USA to continue negotiations. This was announced on Sunday, March 2, by the TV channel Kan 11 with reference to the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
"The Israel Defense Forces is halting humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. "... The checkpoints in Gaza were closed. The Prime Minister's office confirmed that supplies had been halted "due to the refusal of Hamas to accept the plan [of the US President's special envoy for the Middle East Stephen] Witkoff to continue negotiations," the publication says.
It is noted that this decision was made by the government in coordination with the administration of the American president Donald Trump.
A statement from the Hamas office also warned of other consequences if the movement continued to refuse. In addition, they added that Israel would not allow a cease-fire in Gaza without the release of the hostages.
According to Israeli estimates, the humanitarian aid that arrived in the Gaza Strip during the ceasefire phase will be enough for five months.
Earlier in the day, Netanyahu's office reported that Israel agrees to accept Witkoff's plan for a temporary ceasefire in the Gaza Strip for the period of Ramadan and Passover. The proposal implies the release of half of the hostages, both living and dead, on the very first day. Hamas refuses to accept Witkoff's plan.
