Zelensky announced the conclusion of an agreement with London at the expense of income from assets of the Russian Federation

A loan agreement has been signed between Kiev and London, the funds will come from the proceeds from frozen Russian assets. This was announced on March 1 by the president Of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

"Today, in our presence, a loan agreement was signed between Ukraine and the United Kingdom. The loan to strengthen our defense capability will be repaid at the expense of income received from frozen Russian assets," he said in a message on the Telegram channel.

According to a statement from the British government, the loan will be received in three annual installments of 752 million pounds. The first one will arrive in Ukraine at the end of next week. Zelensky also clarified that the money would be used for the production of weapons.

On March 1, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine announced signing an agreement with the United Kingdom under which London will provide Kiev with 2.26 billion pounds (almost $3 billion) for the purchase of defense materials. The financing is provided for 30 years.
