One person was killed in a head-on collision between a passenger car and a tractor on a federal highway in the Khabarovsk Territory. The State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the region writes about this on March 1.

"According to preliminary data, today at 08:30 (01:30 Moscow time. In the area of 83 km of the federal highway A-370 "Ussuri" road, the driver of a Honda Freed, moving from the city of Vladivostok towards the city of Khabarovsk, entered the lane for oncoming traffic, where he collided with an oncoming Volvo truck tractor," the agency said in a Telegram channel.

It is specified that the driver of the car, a man born in 1978, died from his injuries at the scene before the ambulance arrived. A man born in 1975, who was driving a tractor, was hospitalized with injuries of varying severity.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts. The department reported that there were no passengers in the vehicles. The State Traffic Inspectorate added that employees of the district State traffic Inspectorate and an investigative task force are working on the site.

In Bashkiria on the eve of February 28 nine cars collided, two people were injured in the accident. The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic clarified that the accident occurred on the 158th km of the R-240 highway connecting Ufa and Orenburg. The circumstances of the incident are being established. It was noted that heavy fog was observed, which led to temporary restrictions on the movement of all types of vehicles.
