Siluanov appreciated the importance of the G20's crucial role in developing new sources of growth

According to him, global security will "benefit" from the development of alternative solutions in the field of international finance.

"The G20's role should be decisive in developing new sources of growth, leveling risks and developing new opportunities," he said at a meeting of G20 finance ministers and central bank governors in Cape Town.

The Minister called the payment, information and insurance infrastructure a key element of the financial architecture. He pointed out the need to ensure the smooth operation of the financial system with lower costs, while noting the fair distribution of benefits from using the market infrastructure.

According to Siluanov, at the first meeting of the heads of G20 financial departments, issues of macroeconomic risks and opportunities for the development of the global economy, as well as reforming the market architecture, investing in infrastructure and improving taxation in the world were discussed.

He stressed that the next meeting will be held in April this year on the sidelines of the spring session of the governing bodies of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank.
