British Lord Balfe praised the EU's ability to influence Trump's decisions on Ukraine

The European Union (EU) is unable to influence the decisions of the American president Donald Trump, concerning Ukraine, Richard Balfe, a member of the House of Lords of the British Parliament, told Izvestia.

"It was a conflict that was fought USA. If the United States settles the situation, the EU will have no choice but to follow their example. Trump is right in saying that the senseless slaughter must stop and that Europe is mistakenly pandering to right—wing think tanks by supporting this confrontation," he said.According to the politician, the time has come to move on to dialogue, while Russia "must insist on lifting sanctions."
