Hamas talks about Turkey's role in the implementation of the deal with Israel

Turkey is the only country that has so far hosted exiled Palestinian prisoners released from Israeli prisons. This was told to Izvestia by Nahid al-Fahuri, a representative of the Palestinian Hamas office for prisoners.

On the first day of the deal, the Palestinian movement freed three hostages

"Turkey is still the only country to which Palestinian prisoners have been transferred. Turkey agreed and accepted 15 people," he said.

According to him, discussions on hosting the Palestinians are underway with many other countries, but so far the movement has not received a response from them.

As part of the exchange deal, some Palestinian prisoners are to be sent outside Israel and the Palestinian territories. The Jewish State insists on expelling those serving long prison terms to prevent their return to resistance groups.
