The U.S. imposed sanctions against organizations and vessels linked to Iran's petrochemical industry

TheUnited States has imposed sanctions against individuals and organizations involved in Iran's oil and petrochemical industries, as well as in the transportation of Iranian oil. The corresponding statement was published on the website of the U.S. State Department on February 24.

Thus, the U.S. State Department imposed sanctions on eight organizations involved in the trade of Iranian oil and petrochemical products. 22 people and 13 vessels of transportation companies from Suriname, India, China, Malaysia, which are involved in the transportation of Iranian oil, also fell under the sanctions.

The agency noted that "the Iranian regime continues to destabilize world security with its nuclear threat and ballistic missile program," so the United States took appropriate measures to impose sanctions.
