The European Union (EU) has banned exports to Russia of game consoles allegedly used to control unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) as part of the 16th package of sanctions. The relevant information follows from the statement of the association, published on February 24.

"In addition, the list of restrictions will include <...> [game] controllers used to control drones," the statement reads.

In addition, the EU imposed a ban on the export of airplanes to Russia for European companies. The restrictive measures also concern the export of aviation technology. In addition, the sanctions package included a ban on the export of chromium and chemical precursors necessary for the production of chloropicrin.

On the same day, the EU foreign ministers approved the 16th package of sanctions against Russia. The sanctions list included 48 individuals and 35 organizations. In addition, the EU foreign ministers decided to ban 13 banks from access to the SWIFT system. Additionally, the sanctions affected 74 vessels that allegedly belong to Russia's shadow fleet.
