In Moscow in the first half of next week the temperature is expected to drop to -14 degrees Celsius at night. This was reported by meteorologist Mikhail Leus in Telegram-channel.

"In Moscow, the first half of the week will remain anticyclonal, with the absence of precipitation and a large diurnal course of temperature - at night -11...-14 degrees , during the day 0...-3 degrees. On Thursday, more clouds will appear in the sky, but still without precipitation, and the temperature will rise - -8...-11 degrees at night, -1...+2 degrees during the day. On Friday, the cyclone will bring precipitation in a mixed phase and will continue to increase the temperature - at night -3...-6 degrees, during the day -1...+2 degrees. The weekend will not avoid precipitation with daytime temperatures close to 0 degrees," he shared his forecast for the coming week.

The specialist also pointed out that in Moscow and St. Petersburg the passing February is likely to become the coldest month of this winter. At the same time, the weather in the capital has a chance to show the inhabitants of the metropolis one of the driest Februarys in the 21st century.

February 21 in Moscow announced a "yellow" level of weather danger due to icy conditions. According to information, the warning period was in effect in Moscow until 22:00, and in the Moscow region - until 21:00 that day. "Yellow" level indicates that the weather is potentially dangerous, unfavorable phenomena such as precipitation, thunderstorms, wind gusts are possible.
