The State Duma urged Tusk to stop whipping up anti-Russian hysteria

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk should "bite his tongue" and stop whipping up anti-Russian hysteria. This was stated by State Duma deputy Mikhail Sheremet on February 22.
"Tusk should bite his tongue and shut up and stop whipping up anti-Russian hysteria before Russia views his political demarche as a challenge and an open threat," he told RIA Novosti.
According to him, Western European countries pursuing a course of Russophobic policies and financial commitments to Kiev's Nazi regime have discredited themselves, as well as emasculated their own armies.
"They have become like a foolish and self-confident asthmatic pulling against an experienced athlete on the marathon distance," Sheremet added.
On February 21, Tusk called on the European Union (EU) to take urgent measures to help Ukraine amid the US-Russia talks. In particular, he proposed to finance Kiev at the expense of frozen Russian assets. He also pointed to the need to adopt new financial rules to strengthen the EU's defense. According to him, this should be done immediately.
On February 20, the Polish prime minister said that Ukraine's capitulation would mean the capitulation of the entire West. On February 17, he said that the issue of sending Polish troops to Ukraine was closed. Poland will not resort to such actions, he emphasized.
