The Uragan MLRS hit an AFU accumulation in the Krasnoarmeysk direction of the SVO zone

Servicemen of the Center group of troops have hit a cluster of personnel and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) with a Uragan multiple rocket launcher system (MLRS). This was reported in the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry on February 20.

"Having received the coordinates of the target, the artillerymen moved to the area of combat application. Having taken a firing position, the servicemen deployed the combat vehicle and pointing at the target, performed a salvo of 220-mm rocket shells on the enemy. In addition, a warehouse with enemy ammunition was destroyed in the fire," the Defense Ministry said.

In the course of combat missions, missileers use various munitions to hit targets both on the front line and in the rear of the enemy. Among the firing targets for MLRS can be strongholds, manpower or lightly armored equipment of the AFU.

"Today we worked on the enemy's manpower. According to the commander's statements, we worked normally, as it should be - on target. <...> It is always easier to work in frost: there is no slush, mud," said Maxim Serebryakov, a senior gunner of the gun.

The combat work of the MLRS calculation takes only a few minutes and consists of five stages - receiving coordinates, taking a firing position, aiming, firing the guns and quickly changing position.

"We will always hit any target. It doesn't matter to us where they hide, we will always find them. We help [our] infantry units to go fruitfully," said Alexei Yakimov, commander of the rocket artillery battery.

On January 17, Uragan multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS) of the Vostok group of forces struck temporary deployment sites, accumulations of manpower and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the areas of the settlements of Konstantinopol, Skudnoye and Dniproenergiya in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR).
