German Chancellor Olaf Scholz during a televised debate rejected the idea of creating a coalition with the "Union of Sarah Wagenknecht - for Reason and Justice" (SSV) and the "Left Party". The Der Westen publication Der Westen reported on February 19.

"None of us have such a plan," Scholz emphasized.

He also noted that a coalition with either of the two parties is not negotiable.

According to Scholz, there is no reason to discuss the SSV as a cooperation partner. He stated that the party has no plan as to what direction Germany should take.

Wagenknecht was nominated for the post of German chancellor on December 17 last year. In addition to her, Christian Democratic Union (CDU/CSU) leader Friedrich Merz, the head of the Alternative for Germany (AdG) party, Alice Weidel, is also running for the post of German chancellor. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz was the candidate of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD). Vice Chancellor and German Economy Minister Robert Habeck was nominated from the Green Party.
