"Izvestia" published an excerpt of the new novel "The Hunger Games"

"Izvestia returns to its long-standing tradition of publishing new works by the main writers of our time. In different years, the newspaper has published Maxim Gorky, Mikhail Sholokhov, Andrei Voznesensky, Yevgeny Yevtushenko, Vasily Shukshin, and Valentin Rasputin.
This time "Izvestia" publishes an exclusive excerpt from the new novel by Susan Collins on the universe of "The Hunger Games" "Dawn of the Harvest". The book will be released in Russian in March, as in the rest of the world. This is the fifth part of the popular franchise "The Hunger Games" and at the same time a prequel to the first novels.
The events in "Harvest Dawn" take place 24 years before the first book, during the 50th "Hunger Games", the winner of which was Haymitch Ebernethy from District 12. It is he who will later become a mentor to Kitniss and Peeta - the main characters of the trilogy.
In Russia, the novel will be released in the Neoclassic edition of the AST publishing house in the original cover. Translated the book from English by Daria Tselovalnikova.
In November 2026, the studio Lionsgate will release a screen adaptation of the new novel Collins. The director will again be Francis Lawrence, who shot most of the movie series "The Hunger Games".
In the future, the first fragments of the new best-selling novels will appear on the pages of the newspaper and the Izvestia website.
