Prices of SsangYong cars under the new brand in Russia are announced

In March, Rex Motors, the distributor of cars of the South Korean brand KGM (former SsangYong), will start selling three crossovers in Russia. Compact Tivoli will cost from 3.59 million rubles, Korando - from 4.39 million rubles, and Torres - from 5.15 million rubles. In the fall, the Rexton frame SUV will enter the market, which will cost from 6.79 million rubles. This is reported by Izvestia correspondent on February 19 from the press conference of the brand in Russia.

KGM Tivoli crossover was first presented in 2015, by now it has been restyled three times. The car is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbo engine with an output of 163 hp in conjunction with a 6-speed automatic transmission Aisin, front-wheel drive. The length of the car is 4255 mm, wheelbase - 2.6 thousand mm, ground clearance - 178 mm.

Parketnik KGM Korando will be available in three configurations, there are versions with both front and all-wheel drive. The crossover will be offered with a non-alternative 1.5-liter petrol turbo engine, which produces 163 hp (280 Nm) and is combined with a 6-band automatic Aisin. The KGM Torres, which is the brand's first model in the new design style, will get the same powertrain.

The KGM Rexton SUV for the Russian market is powered by a 225 hp (350 Nm) two-liter turbo petrol engine coupled with a 6-speed Aisin automatic transmission and all-wheel drive with selectable reduction gear. The model has a length of 4850 mm and a wheelbase of 2865 mm.

Earlier in the day it was reported that the company "Rex Motors" plans to start assembling KGM cars at the plant "Avtotor" in the Kaliningrad region. The start of car production is scheduled for the fall of 2025. All cars are produced in South Korea, five-year support in the Russian market is promised. SsangYong cars were sold in Russia since the mid-1990s, in 2018 the brand officially left the market. The company's return to Russia was announced in early November 2024.
