In India, more than 30 people were injured after firecrackers exploded before a soccer match. This was reported by NDTV on February 19, citing police.
"Police said more than 30 people were injured after firecrackers exploded at a soccer field <...> in Malappuram, Kerala," the statement said.
According to the police, the incident took place on Monday, February 17. It is specified that firecrackers were used on the soccer field, which exploded and scattered to the places where people were sitting.
It is noted that all the victims were taken to the nearest hospital. No serious injuries were reported.
Earlier, on February 4, in China, a boy threw a firecracker into a sewer, which led to a methane explosion that damaged eight cars standing in the parking lot. Damage to the vehicles was estimated at 285,000 yuan (nearly $40,000). No casualties or injuries were reported.
