The crew of a Su-34 supersonic multirole fighter-bomber of the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) has struck personnel and equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) in the border area of Kursk Region. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry on February 19.

The air strike was carried out on reconnaissance targets with aircraft bombs with a universal planning and correction module.

"Having received confirmation from the reconnaissance about the destruction of the AFU personnel and stronghold, the crew returned safely to the airfield of departure," the Defense Ministry said.

A day earlier, the crew of an Mi-28 helicopter struck the AFU in the border area of Kursk region. After the strike, the crews performed anti-missile maneuvering at extremely low altitude with the firing of heat traps preventing enemy MANPADS missiles from hitting.
